Day 1 We arrive in Tasmania and see MONA

Today we just arrived in Tasmania.  We are going out to rent our car.  Now we are in the car.  We are going to a museum.  The museum is called MONA, the Museum of Old and New Art.  We saw a real tomb.  We also saw water in the form of words.  We saw many more things, but no time to tell you all of them.  That day we had a nice dinner.  I got two new games on the iPad and had a hard time falling asleep.

Day 2  Salamanca Markets and Port Arthur

Today we are going to Salamanca Markets.  Salamanca Markets are a place where you can buy a lot of things like food and clothes for a good price, for example, like Paddy’s.  We also went to Port Arthur where we went on a short boat ride.  We saw the ruins and found out that children as young as 9 years were sent to Port Arthur.  The normal age was 14-17 years old that you would be sent there.  We had a fun time and slept well.

Day 3  Cruising on the Tasman Peninsula and Swansea

Today we went on a cruise on the Tasman Peninsula and we saw Devil’s Kitchen, The Blowhole and the Tasman Arch.  When we came back, I had a delicious and flaky meat pie.  On the way to Swansea, we came across a beautiful beach with stripes of water and sand.  An hour or two later, we discovered a berry farm called Kate’s Berry Farm and had some delicious berry pies and a chocolate fish for me.  A while earlier, we found a beach called the 7 mile (8.6 kilometres) beach.  I had fun making a fortress on the sand.  We had a fun time and enjoyed our journey so far.

Day 4 Freycinet Peninsula

Today we are going to Freycinet Peninsula.  Now we are hiking to the lookout over Wineglass Bay.  A little while into the hike we come across a waterfall.  We had a little bit of a hard time getting up to the lookout.  When we did get to the top, it was worth the walk.  We saw the glasslike water and pearly and soft looking sand.  We saw a crack in the rock and I had a look at the inside and in the crevice there was a drop then the rock came up again later on.  We went back to our car.  The walk back was fun and easy.  We also went to a lighthouse.  We had lots of fun and did a few videos.

Day 5 TasMAZia and Sheffield and Railton

Today, my Dad has a surprise for me.  I wonder what it is.  We are here and the place is called Tasmazia.  Tasmazia is a mze area.  They have eight different mazes.  They are:  Hampton Court Maze, Irish Maze, Great Maze, Confusion Maze, Balance Maze, Cage Maze and Yellow Brick Road Maze.  There were also things to find like Hobbit’s Hole, Fork In the Road (literally), Treasure Chest, and signs with sayings.  Next, we are heading through a town called Sheffield.  This town has many murals.  Murals are pictures on buildings, but they are not graffiti.  They are like paintings on walls like this one.  Now we are in a town called Railton.  Railton has topiary.  Topiary is a plant in the shape of an object; for example, a train.

Day 6  Button's Cottage and Cradle Mountain

Today we are at a place called Button’s Cottage.  We saw the eclipse (you couldn’t see it much) and we are heading towards the owner Alison’s house to feed some lambs special warm milk.  We are here and we are feeding them from bottles.  It is fun feeding them, but they get a bit pushy because they want the milk.  We are walking a bit further to see a platypus.  In the end, we did not see a platypus. 

Today we are also going to Cradle Mountain.  They have many hikes there and it is a national park.  You can see a wombat, Tasmanian devil, and other things.  There is a walk called Dove Lake Circuit and it is 6.2 kilometres (about 4 miles).  About half the way, I played a game to try not to touch the ground and I did it.  We also did a shorter walk called The Enchanted Walk.

Day 7  Our Last Day in Tasmania:  Mount Wellington and Tahune Forest over the Huon River

Today is our last day in Tasmania.  We had lots of fun and we still have some more to do.  We are in Mount Wellington.  It is very cold and windy.  We are going into a building to look at some things about the place.  Then we saw two lookouts and are talking about the view.   

Now we are at Tahune Forest and over the Huon River.  We are having a fun time and we had a great lunch.  Now it is time to go to the airport.  Do not forget to watch my video’s for more information.  Bye!
